Norfolk, VA Wrongful Death Attorney Report : Man, 47 is Killed in Head On Crash in Gloucester, VA
A man has been killed in a head-on crash in Gloucester, VA after another driver crossed a center line, say police.
On May 16, 2012 at approximately 0747 hours, Virginia State Police was called to a two vehicle crash in Gloucester County, at Route 198 (Dutton Road) east of Route 608 (Hell Neck Road)
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup truck operated by a 38-year-old woman of Onemo, Virginia, was traveling westbound on Route 198 when she crossed the center lane and struck a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta passenger car, operated by Stephen Rea Johnson, 47 of Dutton, Virginia, “head-on” in the east bound lane, said state police spokeswoman Michelle Anaya.
Stephen Johnson died at the scene as a result of the crash. The woman was transported by rescue squad to Riverside Walter Reed Hospital and later transferred to Riverside Regional Hospital in Newport News with non life-threatening injuries.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Alcohol did not play an factor in the accident, say police.

The death was the latest in a spate of fatal accidents in the Tidewater area. On May 15, 2012 a female motorcyclist was killed and another was injured in an accident on College Drive in Suffolk, VA.
And another head-on collision in which a center line was crossed, led to the death of a woman on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
