Michelle Witzel, of Spotsylvania, and her son, 11 were flown to VCU Medical Center with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, nbc12.com reported.

Police said the woman’s daughters, aged 14 and 21, were taken by ambulance to Southside Regional Medical Center. Everyone in the car was wearing a seat belt, police said.
Virginia State Police said the 47-year-old mother overcorrected as she attempted to change lanes near mile marker 44.5 on the interstate. She’s been charged with reckless driving.
