The circumstances of this accident are unclear. My thoughts as a Suffolk accident injury lawyer are with the family of Mr. Richardson.
I see far too many accidents involving pedestrians in cities such as Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Suffolk. I have also reported on a number of deaths of walkers in Chesapeake, VA.
On occasions drivers are at fault. Recently I wrote about the tragic death of wheelchair bound Gregory Camp who was hit on a crosswalk in Norfolk, VA.
In another pedestrian accident in Suffolk on February 10, 2013, Virginia State Police were called to the scene of a vehicle that struck a pedestrian on Route 460 east bound east of Route 616 (Ivor Road) in Suffolk.
When a pedestrian is knocked over and killed by a vehicle his or her family may have grounds for a wrongful death lawsuit if the driver was traveling to fast, was drunk, was inattentive or the pedestrian was on a crosswalk.
