Motorcyclist James Nemeth from Chesapeake Was Killed When Truck Pulled out in Camden, NC
I was saddened to read about the death of another motorcyclist in a crash that appeared to have been the fault of the other driver.
On October 31 2013, James Nemeth, 54 of Chesapeake was killed just over the state line in Camden County in North Carolina.
As a motorcycle accident lawyer who works with clients in both Chesapeake and in North Carolina, I’m very familiar with the accident location at the intersection of U.S. 17 and Morgans Corner Road.
My thoughts are with the family of Mr. Nemeth at this tragic time. As an advocate of the rights of motorcyclists, I’m appalled by a string of recent accidents in which drivers of cars or trucks appear to have failed to notice riders when pulling out or making turns.
Just days ago I wrote about the death of motorcyclist Don Henry Harriman who was killed near Lynchburg, VA by a driver making a left turn.
According to the report in the Virginian-Pilot, Mr. Nemeth, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding slid under a truck that pulled out in front of him at the intersection of U.S. 17 and Morgans Corner Road.
A driver from Pasquotank County was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, according to North Carolina state troopers. Alcohol was not a factor in this fatal crash
The Pilot reported on how the accident blocked on U.S. 17 southbound and traffic was rerouted for more than three hours after the 5:45 a.m. crash.
In the wake of an accident like this, the family of Mr. Nemeth has a strong case to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the truck driver or the trucking company. No amount of money can bring back a loved one, but a settlement will often cover a wide range of expenses and costs.
My past cases include a $3.5 million settlement in the wrongful death case of a passenger who lost his life in a crash with a truck in Norfolk, VA. Although we cannot guarantee you will receive the same results, we can guarantee that our injury lawyers will work tirelessly on your case in order to obtain the jury verdict or settlement that you deserve.
