The wife of Mayor James W. Holley III has filed a lawsuit seeking $3 million from TowneBank and its chairman and chief executive officer, G. Robert Aston Jr., over an car accident that occurred in June 2007.
Mary W. Holley was hospitalized after she was hit while walking in the parking lot of the bank offices in Suffolk on Harbour View Boulevard.
On February 18, 2009, the lawsuit was filed in Circuit Court, stating Aston backed his vehicle into her while he was “acting in the scope of his employment” at the bank.
Mayor Holley is a member of the board of TowneBank.
Mary Holley’s attorney, Michael J. Massie, Esq., did not want to give specific details about the injuries, but he said she was in intensive care for more than a week and that her medical bills were almost $100,000.
