Motorcyclist is Killed in Collision with Sheriff’s Office Vehicle in Washington County, VA
In head-on accidents between a motorcycle and another vehicle, chances are, the motorcyclist will come off worst.
I was saddened to read about the death of a motorcyclist in Virginia this week in a collision with a Washington County Sheriff’s Office vehicle.
According to Corinne Geller, a spokesman for Virginia State Police, a 37-year-old man from Bristol was lost his life when his motorcycle crossed the center line on a sharp curve and collided with a marked sheriff’s office SUV.
Reports stated the motorcycle spun out of control and slid backward into the SUV on Tuesday afternoon on Route 665 near the intersection of Route 911.
Although two deputies who were in the SUV performed CPR at the accident scene, Ford died at the scene. The deputies weren’t injured in the crash.
