Motorcyclist is Found Badly Injured in Gloucester County, Days After Disappearance
Serious injuries are common when motorcyclists lose control of their machines or are involved in collisions with cars.
But it’s unusual for those involved in an accident to have to suffer from their injuries for days before treatment.
In a harrowing case from Gloucester County, VA, Sheriff’s deputies found a 28-year-old man at the scene of motorcycle accident on Hickory Fork Road, days after he was reported missing.
According to a report in the Daily Press the young man was airlifted to a local hospital on September 16, 2013, said Corinne Geller, a spokeswoman for the Virginia State Police.
The man’s family had reported him missing last week with the Sheriff’s Office, state police said.

The Daily Press reported on how Sheriff’s deputies found the motorcyclist more than 15 yards from Hickory Fork Road. He was lying near a wooded area that was not visible from the road, according to state police.
He was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries. I hope he manages to recover after this terrible ordeal.
State police said they were called in investigate the crash and determined the motorcyclist had been riding west on a Kawasaki motorcycle. It appears he ran off the right side of the road. The motorcycle overturned in the woods.
