John Cooper and Bill O’Mara Attend AAJ Conference in Baltimore
One the things that separates me from some other personal injury lawyers is I go to the biggest, most important national conventions every year, and I participate both in teaching and learning and getting the latest skills and information to help pursue personal injury cases on your behalf in Hampton Roads.
This year I am at the American Association for Justice (AAJ) convention in Baltimore, Maryland, with my colleague Bill O’Mara.
We have five days of amazing seminars. It’s almost like a three ring circus. You have one person taking about medical malpractice, you have another person talking about how to prove things to a jury and another person talking about car accident cases. These are all the highest level national experts.
I attend a number of other events every year including Virginia Trial Lawyer conferences and railroad meetings.
The AAJ, also known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA®), has supported plaintiff trial lawyers for more than six decades as the collective voice of the trial bar on Capitol Hill and in courthouses across the United States and by providing exclusive services designed for trial lawyers.
The AAJ produces many important and useful reports such as a report on medical errors that shows about 440,000 people die every year in the United States from preventable medical errors.
