Five Women Die When Limo Catches Fire in California (CA)
When you are on a limo ride to a party, a wedding or any other celebration, tragedy is likely to be the furthest thing from your mind.
But a horrific fire on a limousine in California turned a bachelorette party into a scene of horror and claimed the lives of five passengers including the bride to be.
My thoughts are with the family of the deceased after this awful tragedy. As an auto accident injury attorney in Norfolk, VA., I see car fire from time to time, but seldom on this scale.
There were nine woman in the white stretch limousine when it burst into flames on a bridge in San Francisco. Investigators are yet to determine what caused this fire, Associated Press reported, but the vehicle does not appear to have been involved in an accident.
When a tragedy like this occurs attention will inevitably shift to the type of limo, the actions of the driver who was the only person to escape without injury, and whether the owners of the limo company maintained the limousine correctly.
There is certainly a potential for wrongful death lawsuits to be brought in this case.
