Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers is pleased to be a sponsor of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association’s paralegal seminar on Nov. 9 at the Hilton Richmond. The VTLA paralegal event attracted hundreds of paralegals and legal assistants from across the Commonwealth.
Attorney John Cooper is chairing the Paralegal Palooza today at the Richmond Hilton Hotel & Spa at Short Pump. The event is attended by Cooper Hurley staff members Nikki Stodden, Stacey Maguire and Stephanie Adams.
The seminar is packed with presentations from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. including a talk by Ashely Davis on the litigation toolbox needed for motions and briefs, tricks of the legal investigator trade by Rod Budd of EYZONU Consulting and ‘golden nugget’ tips for paralegals by Elliott M. Buckner.
Leslie Hayley will present a talk on ethics for paralegals and how they can keep up with the latest electronic advances.
Virginia Beach attorney Kellam Parks will explain what is meant by Electronically Stored Information (ESI) under Virginia Rules of Civil Procedure and Virginia rules.
Brian Gillette, another Hampton Roads lawyer, will explain types of social security disability benefits and eligibility criteria. We are happy to support this great and informative event.
Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers set up a table with promotional items at the events and raffled off three tins of Jody’s Popcorn in themed Cooper Hurley tins.
