Attorney John Cooper Backs Colombia in the World Cup
Colombia’s World Cup has been a lot more successful than England and Spain’s. After two wins the South American nation is on the brink of progressing to the knockout stage of the World Cup.
Attorney John Cooper, whose wife Monica is Colombian, was cheering the team in yellow on in their victory against the Ivory Coast at his favorite Colombian restaurant in Virginia Beach, the El Desorden, this week.
In one of the most entertaining matches of the World Cup to date Colombia scored twice in six minutes in a lively second half to beat the Ivory Coast, 2-1, on Thursday.
It was the first time in Cup history that the Colombian national team won consecutive matches, and it puts the Cafeteros, as the team is known, on the brink of qualifying for the knockout stage
Colombia’s final game is against Japan next Tuesday.
John said he will be cheering on Colombia through the rest of the World Cup; his only dilemma would be if the Cafeteros play the USA, he explains in this video.
