Man is Charged with DUI After Death of George Edward Neselrod in Hampton, VA

Tragically, this happened on Saturday night in Hampton in an accident that claimed the life of a driver at the intersection of Magruder Boulevard and Hampton Roads Center Boulevard.
One man died and another was charged with DUI after a two-vehicle crash in Hampton Saturday night.
Hampton Police arrived at the intersection of Magruder Boulevard and Hampton Roads Center Parkway around 10:42 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious crash. They found 53-year-old George Edward Neselrod Jr. of Hampton suffering from life-threatening injuries. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene, reported WAVY.com.
Sgt. Jason Price, a spokesman for Hampton Police said Neselrod was driving southbound on Magruder Blvd in a Ford Escort when he was involved in a crash with a Ford Explorer, driven by a 49-year-old man who was turning left from the northbound lanes of Magruder Blvd. on to Hampton Roads Center Parkway.
Police said they later charged the Explorer driver with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol third or subsequent offense and additional charges are expected to filed. He remains in custody at Hampton City Jail.
