Lara D. Grass is Killed in Multi-vehicle Crash on I-81 Involving Tractor Trailer
Some of the most horrifying accidents I see on the Interstates of Virginia are multi-vehicle crashes involving tractor trailers.
Our Virginia trucking accident injury lawyers have represented people who have suffered very serious injuries or the families of those who have lost their lives on I-95, I-81 and I-64 in Virginia.
Interstate 81 runs through the western part of Virginia and is a major route for commercial vehicles. I was saddened to read about a recent accident in Raphine, Virginia that claimed the life of Lara D. Grass of Lexington.
During the multi-vehicle accident in Augusta County her car rear-ended a tractor trailer and caught fire, according to Virginia State Police.
Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller says a car driven by 27-year-old Lara D. Grass of Lexington rear-ended a tractor-trailer and caught fire. Grass died at the scene.
State police said two vehicles initially collided in the northbound lanes. The tractor-trailer had braked to avoid the two crashed vehicles ahead of it. Grass’ car was not able to stop in time and crashed into the tractor-trailer.
Virginia State Police said the tractor-trailer driver wasn’t injured. One person suffered minor injuries in the initial collision on the morning of March 18, 2014 near the 210 mile marker.
When a driver is killed in a wreck, family members may have grounds to bring a wrongful death lawsuit against the insurance policy of the driver who caused the accident. Call our Virginia wrongful death attorneys for further information at 757.455.0077 or see CooperHurley.com
