Hampton Motorcycle Accident Injury Attorney Report – Motorcyclist is Killed in Hampton
A grim year for motorcyclists in Virginia has continued with the death of a rider in Hampton.
The motorcyclist was involved in a crash on Mercury Boulevard when he attempted to turn into Chestnut Avenue on July 25, 2012, the Daily Press reported.
Jason Price, a spokesman for Hampton police, said the motorcyclist was traveling east on Mercury Boulevard when he attempted to turn onto Chestnut, and collided with a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix. Jerail Xavier Jones, 20, from Hampton died later at a local hospital.

The driver of the Pontiac was not injured. It was not immediately clear who was to blame, although Price suggested the speed the motorcycle was traveling at may have been a factor. I know from experience that Mercury Boulevard is a fast-moving and dangerous highway. Drivers don’t always notice motorcyclists.
This death comes just days after a husband and wife were killed on their motorcycle in Nelson County.
