Fatal Accidents Are Reported near Oceana in Virginia Beach and on Eastern Shore
Two fatal accidents were reported on the highways of Hampton Roads on December 17 – one in Virginia Beach and the other on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
Police officers were called to the intersection of Roselynn Lane and Virginia Beach Boulevard at about 2 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a two vehicle accident entailing a loss of life, WAVY.com reported.
One person was reported to be dead at the scene near NAS Oceana. The accident led to the closure of Virginia Beach Boulevard Oceana Blvd. to West Lane due to a pole that had crashed in the road.

Eastbound traffic was being rerouted down Old Virginia Beach Road to Oceana Boulevard and westbound traffic was reported to be rerouted from Oceana Boulevard to West Lane to Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Also on Tuesday afternoon, a driver lost control of his car on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, causing a fatal crash. Virginia State Police responded to the crash about 1 p.m. on Route 13, north of Route 644.
WAVY reported Anthony McHan was driving a 2001 Toyota Tundra north on Route 13 when he lost control and of the vehicle, veered off the road and overturned several times, ejecting the driver who died at the accident scene.
