Inside the Case: Severe Injuries After a Fall

Video Transcript

One of the first catastrophic injury cases that I worked on at Cooper Hurley was a man that had fallen from a railing at his condominium. So the railing actually completely came loose from the decking and he fell onto his back from a second story railing and was rendered a paraplegic. So for that case, that was a real trial by fire for me because that was the first catastrophic case I had ever been involved in. And in that case, we were able to secure a $6 million settlement for that client to make sure that he had what he needed moving forward to be able to take care of all of his medical needs.

That being the first catastrophic case that I had really handled just confirmed for me in my mind that I had made the right decision in what I wanted to do with my life and made me excited for all of the ways that I really could go out there and help people.
