The number one thing you should do if you are in a wreck and you are pregnant is go immediately to the hospital. Have someone else collect the necessary information for you, the car insurance, things like that. It’s not of the utmost importance for you at that time to involve yourself in an investigation. One of the things I will say to folks especially new parents: if this is your your first child that you’re pregnant with and you already have the car seat put in your vehicle, you’re excited you’re ready for the birth of your child– if you’re in a wreck and you have a car seat in your vehicle, that car seat needs to be replaced, and the other person’s auto insurance is responsible for for repairing that and paying the cost of a replacement car seat.
