The process for investigating a railroad passenger injury is first and foremost putting the railroad on notice of our representation.
We’re going to be somewhat limited in what information we’re able to gather pre-litigation, but we can still ask if there’s a copy of any incident report or witness statement, particularly from you or that you would have signed. And then we want to make sure that we’re contacting any witnesses that are out there. If it was in the news, we want to make sure that we’re gathering all relevant media sources that might be out there. And then medical treatment is really the other part component of that.
