Anytime I’m speaking with a potential new client and they’re coming in for a consultation, my goal is to put them at ease. It can be intimidating and daunting to think that, “I’m going to come in and be speaking with a lawyer who sometimes might use these fancy words and talk over me”– that’s not our goal. Our goal is to put our potential new clients at ease, and one of the things I tell them is, bring whatever you think is necessary to the consultation, right? The more, the better. We can look through it and say, okay we might not need to look at that, but this is a a perfect piece of information you’ve brought to us. So get your folder, keep every piece of paper in there that’s related to your injury, your treatment, and bring it all, the more the merrier. We can sort it out from there.
