Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers Brings Ice Cream Truck to Norfolk Fire Station to Thank First Responders

NORFOLK, VA —July 14, 2025: As part of their ongoing commitment to giving back to the Hampton Roads community, Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers made a special stop at Norfolk Fire and Rescue Station 1 recently with an ice cream truck in tow. Partner Griffin O’Hanlon and the members of the Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers team surprised firefighters with a cool treat and a heartfelt thank you for their dedicated service.

“Many of us drive past this station every day, and we wanted to take a moment to show how important that these men and women are to us,” said attorney Griffin O’Hanlon, a partner at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers. “The members of Norfolk Fire and Rescue put their lives on the line daily to protect this city, and this was a small way for us to recognize their bravery, hard work and dedication.” In a touching moment, our Director of Client Services, Ty Bryant reunited with one of the brave first responders who came to her aid during a terrifying elevator incident. The chance to personally thank him meant the world to her and reminded all of us of the profound impact that our Hampton Roads heroes have on our lives.

The ice cream truck visit is part of Salute to Our 757 Heroes, Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers’ ongoing initiative to honor the people that keep our region running.

The firm served over 80 sweet treats to firefighters from across the City of Norfolk, who were all smiles as they enjoyed complimentary ice cream on a hot summer afternoon. They spent time chatting with members of the Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers team, who came out to personally show their appreciation. This summer’s ice cream stop is just one of several community efforts that the firm has planned for the rest of 2025.
