Tara Rooksby was born in Huntington Beach, California and relocated to Northern Virginia in 1993. She received a Bachelor of Music degree along with a minor in Business from James Madison University. Tara is a hard-core marching band/drum and bugle corps fan and made fantastic memories as a member of the Marching Royal Dukes drum line at JMU during her time there, including performing in two presidential inaugural parades, two Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parades, as well as international performances in Italy, France, Monaco, Germany, and Greece.
Tara received her paralegal degree from Tidewater Community College and has worked in personal injury law for 13 years. She enjoys using her expertise to support and guide her clients through what can be a scary and uncertain time. She loves the friendly, energetic, and supportive atmosphere at Cooper Hurley! Each morning she walks through the door, she knows it is going to be a productive day.
Tara lives in Chesapeake with her husband and two spunky daughters. In her spare time, she teaches private flute lessons and performs with the Virginia Wind Symphony.
Last year, my husband and I were involved in an accident with a drunk driver. Since retaining Cooper Hurley to handle our case, we have been extremely satisfied with their staff. Whenever I had inquiries, I found Tara R. and Stacey B. to be consistently accessible and responsive, providing thorough answers regarding our case. Working with them has been an exceptional experience, and I highly recommend Cooper Hurley if you need excellent legal representation!
