Another case that was very rewarding was a significant tractor-trailer accident that we had. Our client was in a passenger car when it was impacted by this tractor-trailer. He had severe injuries, multiple broken bones in his legs, arms, and was in the hospital and rehab facilities for over 100 days. He’s not from here, so he didn’t really know anyone here. It was particularly hard because it was over Thanksgiving-Christmas period that he was away from his family. They could only really get out there to visit once, so being able to tell his story, and not just the fact that this was a tractor-trailer accident and this is what the tractor trailer people did wrong, but this is the personal effects that it had on him– not just the broken bones and all the time in the hospital, but how it affected his family not being able to see him that holiday season, and his job, and just all the other little pieces that might get forgotten.
