I had the privilege of representing a very deserving young woman in a case that resolved for $4.75 million. And she was a very deserving client. I really grew to respect her and and appreciate what she went through. And it was really, she was a really brave client. The– part of the challenges of being a personal injury lawyer is… this case was particularly challenging. It wasn’t a straightforward traditional car accident like most people would think. There were some very technical pieces to it. There were a lot of experts involved in the case, a lot of unique defenses, and there’s a lot of finger-pointing about who was actually the culprit, who was at fault for causing these life-changing injuries to this young, young person.

That’s one of the challenging parts of our job. And, also, a rewarding part of it is that when you do have complicated technical aspects of a case, you have to learn everything about it. You have to develop a mastery of a subject matter you may know nothing about as a personal injury lawyer going into the case, but in order to effectively help and represent your client, you have to learn these things and master them to get a great result for a deserving client. In this case, the client was a passenger, which in some ways can simplify a case in a way, in that very rarely is an accident gonna be a passenger’s fault. But when you’re dealing with a passenger, you’re usually dealing with multiple vehicles involved or multiple parties who may have contributed to this loss.
