When we say premises liability claims in Virginia, what we’re talking about is personal injury suffered by people at businesses, whether it be a slip and fall or a trip and fall that happens at a department store. It can happen at a Walmart, it can happen at a grocery store. It can happen at a hotel at the Virginia Beach Ocean Front. So any injury that happens at a business falls under the umbrella, but we’ve referred to as premises cases or premises liability cases, which have many unique aspects to them from an evidentiary standpoint, how they need to be investigated and how they need to be pursued under the law.
