Candace Freeman joined Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers as a paralegal in 2015. She has been working with personal injury clients since 2007 and says she can relate to their issues. Candace was involved in a serious car accident seven years ago. She sustained a serious shoulder injury. Candace said being involved in an accident helped her in her work as a personal injury paralegal because she was able to relate to clients and understand how being involved in an accident can change their lives. “I wanted to help other people. I can relate to their issues,” she said. “It’s always good to have someone who understands the struggle.” Candace is originally from Annapolis, Maryland. Her family relocated to Hampton Roads because her father was in the Navy. She attended Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk and Norfolk State University where she studied accounting. She was awarded a paralegal associate degree from Bryant and Stratton College. Candace is also a licensed realtor. She lives in Suffolk with her husband Kevin and two daughters aged 5 and 11. In her free time, she teaches modern, lyrical and tap dancing and coaches softball.
