Suffolk school bus involved in crash because of heavy rain

A Suffolk school bus carrying field hockey players was involved in an accident Monday evening around 8pm.
Due to the severe weather the bus went off the road and landed in the median. No other vehicles were involved.
Virginia State Police said the school bus driver was charged with failure to maintain a lane of travel.
Eleven students were taken to the hospitals for minor injuries.
