Police Name Five People Killed in I-85 Wrong Way Crash in Brunswick County

A few days ago I reported on a horrific wrong way motor vehicle accident that claimed the lives of five people in Virginia.
The names of four people who died in a Toyota Corolla have now been released. The driver of the car was Davindra Jailall, 32 of New York and the back seat rear right passenger was Krishna Maniram, 51 of New York. The others who perished were Rajendra Jailall and Seelal Rampersad.
My thoughts are with the families of the deceased who died through no fault of their own.
The New York Daily News reported 70-year-old Walter Edward Skinner, also died after plowing his Honda pickup into a silver Toyota Corolla on I-85 in Brunswick County, Va., just before 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
The pickup driver was driving in the wrong direction on I-85. It’s not clear why, although Virginia State Police are investigating the cause of this tragedy.
Wrong way accidents are more common than we would like to think. When they occur, the injuries caused can be very serious. These kinds of crashes are often fatal.
