One is Killed, Eight Are Injured in Auto Accident in Sandbridge in Virginia Beach
I was saddened to read about a horrific crash in Sandbridge, Virginia Beach which killed one and hospitalized another eight people, some of them with serious injuries.
Officials said five children and three adults were transported after the wreck in Sandbridge on Wednesday evening which claimed the life of one person. The details of this accident were still filtering through on Thursday morning.

MPO Tonya Borman of the Virginia Beach Police Department said the two-vehicle crash occurred just before 7 p.m. in the 500 block of Sandbridge Road. Initial police reports, which were later corrected, said two people had died.
Sentara spokesman Dale Gauding told the TV station five patients aged under 16 were transported from the crash to Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. One of the injured was then taken to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. It is always heartbreaking when children are involved in crashes.
Three adults were transported from the crash to Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. One of them was later transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Gauding said.
Police said two of those transported from the crash have life-threatening injures. My thoughts as a Virginia Beach auto accident attorney are with all of those who have been injured in this terrible crash and their families.
In the aftermath of the wreck traffic was redirected near Sandbridge Realty to Dam Neck Naval Base as crews worked the scene.
