He was struck by a passing vehicle and killed. Another motorist received non-life threatening injuries.
As a North Carolina (NC) wrongful death lawyer, I am saddened by the circumstances of this fatal crash. When this driver stopped to help the victims of another accident, he could not have imagined it would have been the last thing he would do.
When someone is hit and killed at the roadside his or her family will often have legitimate grounds to bring a wrongful death lawsuit.
When drivers are approaching an accident scene they should slow down and avoid the wreckage.
