The news station said the car driver was trying to turn into the hotel parking lot of the Ocean View Inn on Ocean View Avenue when the moped struck the back of his car.

The driver of the car was later charged with failure to yield.

The driver of the moped was taken by ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was wearing a helmet. The extent of his injuries was not released.
