Norfolk man charged after killing three and injuring two other passengers
A Norfolk man who was driving car that drove into a house, killing three passengers, faces charges of aggravated involuntary manslaughter while driving drunk.
According to the Virginian-Pilot a Norfolk grand jury indicted 30-year-old Craig A. Watson on three felony charges. The Aug. 11 wreck also seriously injured two passengers.
Police reports show, Watson was driving with five passengers around 3:20 am when the car missed a curve. The vehicle tore through a light pole, stop sign, guardrail and tree before running into the porch of a house.
Police said speed and alcohol contributed to the crash, which killed 18-year-old Paris Shorter of Virginia Beach, 19-year-old Marquita Walker of Hampton and 29-year-old Karnell Faulkner of Chesapeake.
