Norfolk Car Accident Attorney Report – Alcohol a Possible Factor as Car Hits a Power Pole in Norfolk
Alcohol may have been a factor in a crash that sent two people to a local hospital in Norfolk, VA after a car slammed into a power pole.
The crash with injuries occurred on Newtown Road near the intersection with Greenwich Road in Norfolk at about midnight on March 25, 2012, WAVY.com reported.
The crash closed down part of Newtown Road overnight and caused a power outage.
The TV station reported a driver lost control of a car and hit the power pole, causing several power lines to fall, knocking out the supply of electricity to homes.
As experienced Norfolk, VA car accident injury lawyers we are relieved the injuries suffered by the occupants of this car do not appear to have been serious.
A police officer on scene said he “believed both alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash,” WAVY reported.
Sadly, alcohol and speed cause many crashes on the highways of cities such as Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Newport News, VA.
