Lexington Back Injury Wreck Case is Settled for $300,000

The 44-year-old woman was injured by an F-150 pickup truck in Lexington in the Shenandoah Valley.
A report in Virginia Lawyers Weekly noted the woman was rear-ended by the pickup and pushed into the car in front of her.
She had been under the care of a chiropractor for six years before the Lexington back injury wreck occurred.

The 44-year-old was previously diagnosed with fibromyalgia. She stopped treatment about five months before the collision in Lexington.

She went to a chiropractor immediately after the crash. She reported complaints of neck, low back pain, and headaches.
She underwent treatment with a chiropractor for 10 weeks before seeking an orthopedic doctor. She underwent a cervical fusion at C-4, C-5-6, and C6-7 six months after the wreck. The case settled for insurance policy limits of $300,000, comprising $100,000 from GEICO and $200,000 from State Farm.
The plaintiff was represented by attorney Joel McClellan from Richmond.
The woman reported a host of problems from the crash including cervical subluxation and cervical radiculopathy requiring cervical fusion and headaches.
