Your Injury, Our Fight!
The loss of a child is one of the most painful things a family can ever face coming to terms with. In Virginia Beach, friends and family have been remembering a 12-year-old boy whose life was cut tragically short in a car crash last Friday night.
Flowers for the boy have been left at the accident scene on First Colonial Road. According to accident reports, he was a passenger in a car that swerved off the highway, struck a tree, veered across income lanes and hit another tree.
While emergency crews tried to save the boy’s life it was too late and he died at the accident scene on First Colonial Road in Virginia Beach, WAVY.com reported.
The deceased boy was a student at Great Neck Middle School. He was described by those who knew him as a “sweet boy.”
WAVY reported on how Great Neck Middle School had counselors on hand this week to help students cope with the loss of a classmate.
“He always had the biggest smile on his face,” one teacher wrote. “I will miss him and his smile a great deal.”
My thoughts are with the family in the midst of this tragedy. Inevitably questions will be asked of the driver of the car that crashed.
“Police say the driver may not have been over the speed limit, but was going too fast for the weather conditions at the time,” WAVY reported.
In cases like this, family members often consider filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the insurance policy of the driver to help cover the many expenses they can incur from such a sudden loss. Often family members will not be ready to face the legal ramifications. A Virginia Beach wrongful death lawyer can take over the legal process and leave you to concentrate on grieving.
