Fatal accident in Virginia Beach driver charged

The fatal car accident in Virginia Beach where a tractor-trailer ran a red light then slammed into a minivan, killing the driver of the van.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, a New Jersey resident, 60-year-old, Walter Yasuk was charged with running a red light. According to reports, further charges could be pending.
The crash occurred just before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Burton Station Road and Northampton Boulevard. Police spokeswoman Margie Hobbs said the motorist was driving a minivan east on Burton Station and was struck by the tractor-trailer traveling south on Northampton.
The person who died has not been identified to the media.
The accident remains under investigation.
