Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers Gives Virginia Beach Cheer Team $1,000
An enthusiastic performance of Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers’ jingle with gold and red pom-poms helped secure Bayside High School’s cheer team $1,000.
The cheer team chanted “Your injury, our fight” at a recent game and sent in the video to Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers’ jingle contest.
Although the team did not win the contest, we gave them a check of $1,000 as a special thank you. The money will support the Booster club/cheer team.
Cooper Hurley attorney Kevin Briggs presented the Virginia Beach school the check at half time during their homecoming game against Tallwood High School on Oct. 12. He was joined by school principal James Miller and the Bayside High School cheerleaders.
The Bayside Marlins were also winners on the field. The football squad defeated the Tallwood Lions 24-8.
Three individual winners received gifts cards of $300, $200, and $100 for their entries in Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers’ first sing-off. Nine entries were submitted.
Ciara Parker won first place. Sheila Ramos Samlal won second place, and Leona Hunter was the third-place winner.
The children of two staff members even joined in the fun and submitted a video. See more videos on our Facebook page.
Why Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers Supports Great Causes in Hampton Roads
Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers is an enthusiastic supporter of great causes in the Hampton Roads community and elsewhere in Virginia.
Our firm recently sponsored Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church’s 12th Annual Golf Tournament on Oct. 17th. This event helped raise money for parish youth to attend the Catholic HEART Work Camp. We work extensively with Catholic Charities.
The many good causes supported by Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers include homeless charities.
Last year, we donated $1,000 to Virginia Beach-based Blankets for the Homeless, a local nonprofit. We also supported the 503 c 3 set up by Mariah Smith in our Facebook ‘likes’ campaign in 2016. We have supported the Union Mission. We also took part in the Legal Food Frenzy to raise money and much-needed supplies for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers aims to help local athletes whenever possible. We recently donated $1,000 to support Norfolk-based Maury High School’s varsity men’s tennis team.
Every year, we support young people heading to college in our Distracted Driving Awareness Scholarship program. We make the awards after judging distracted driving essays and other multi-media presentations from the students.
Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers has deep roots in the Hampton Roads community. Many of our attorneys grew up here and attended local schools. As well as supporting cheerleaders, our attorneys and staff are cheerleaders for Hampton Roads. Every day, we help residents of the seven cities and further afield on the Eastern Shore or elsewhere in Virginia and northwestern North Carolina after they are hurt in car, truck, or motorcycle accidents.
