Your Injury, Our Fight!
As an experienced Virginia railroad injury lawyer I’m well familiar with the dangers at railroad crossings, particularly when big rigs are crossing the tracks.
Big rig wreck with train caught on cam
A lucky escape in Lyndonville, Vermont, was recorded on video when an 18-wheeler collided with a train and crashed perilously close to a store’s diesel pumps. It could have been so much worse. The train could have derailed and the gas station could have exploded.
In 2011 in Nevada, six people were killed and 20 were injured when a truck failed to stop at a railroad crossing. Lawsuits have followed this tragedy.
In Vermont the dramatic crash was caught by surveillance cameras at M&M Beverage. A tractor trailer kept going through flashing train signals, hit a train and skidded along Route 5 in Lyndonville.
The box trailer was split in half but fortunately no injuries were reported.
The truck driver claimed he failed to see the flashing signals because he was distracted by another car. Police were not convinced after watching the surveillance video.
If you have been hurt in an accident on a railroad crossing you should consider contacting a railroad accident lawyer. See our guide to accidents in grade crossings.
